Slabs, Cut and Polished - Benitoite | Montana Sapphire
This is a large slab of what has been given the name of "Pinolite". It comes from a Magnesite deposit found in Sunk, Hohentauern, Niedere Tauern, Styria, Austria. This material was called Pinolite for it's resemblance to Pine nut. It is actually a graphite pigmented, light grey to almost black dolomite with inclusions of white magnesite.
